GPoT Center organized a conference on Israeli-Syrian relations with the participation of two leading figures, Dr. Alon Liel and Dr. Ibrahim Soliman, who conducted to the secret unofficial negotiation talks held under the auspices of the Swiss government from 2004 to 2006. Eight rounds of talks led by Dr. Liel and Dr. Soliman were concluded in an unofficial blueprint for an Israeli-Syrian peace agreement. In a round table discussion at Istanbul Kültür University, Dr. Alon Liel and Dr. Ibrahim Soliman shared their perspectives regarding the current developments in Middle Eastern politics and the possibility of a peace agreement between Israel and Syria.
