Emerging Security Challenges: What Role for NATO?

It has been a great pleasure for GPoT Center to host Dr. Knut Kirste, a senior officer from NATO’s Public Policy Divison on December 15, 2011 at a roundtable meeting on the topic of “Emerging Security Challenges: What role for NATO?”.

GPoT Center organized this meeting under the context of the upcoming 60th anniversary of Turkey’s membership in NATO – along with a declining public support for the organization’s activities. The meeting was part of the efforts to increase the understanding of NATO activities among the Turkish public. The meeting was moderated by Lit. Gen. Şadi Ergüvenç, a High Advisory Board member of GPoT Center and an expert on the NATO issues.
