GPoT Center participated at the Regional Workshop on Democracy and Local Governance in the BMENA region

GPoT Center’s Deputy Director Dr. Sylvia Tiryaki attended the Regional Workshop on Democracy and Local Governance in the BMENA region, held in Rabat, Morocco between 5-6 October.

The workshop, part of the preparation for the Forum for the Future in November 2009, was organized by the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights and No Peace Without Justice in partnership with the co-Chairs of this year’s Forum for the Future, Italy and Morocco.

Dr. Tiryaki chaired the commission on fair elections and presented the executive summary of the upcoming book GPoT will publish in November, entitled "Towards a Better Life: How to Improve the State of Democracy in the Middle East and North Africa."
