Forum for the Greek Cypriot and Turkish students

A group of 16 Greek Cypriot students and young leaders together with Dr.Areti Demosthenous, Director of the Institute of Historical Research for Peace based in Nicosia visited GPoT Center on June 16, 2010.

The group of young Greek Cypriots had a unique chance to interact with Turkish students in a friendly environment and discuss topics of their interest.
Because of the pioneer idea to bring the two groups together, the meeting had a tremendous impact on their mutual perceptions as the students normally do not get a chance to encounter each other. GPoT Center staff gave them a lecture on the current state of Turkish-Israeli relations and Turkish foreign policy in the Middle East. A substantial portion of the discussion session was dedicated to issues related to the Cyprus question.
